Ah, and breathe. No matter how fun and rewarding a project is, there’s always that little sigh of relief when opening weekend goes ahead without a hitch.

I was asked to write music for a brand new Christmas show that takes audiences on a woodland adventure. A co-production between Hope Street Limited and Blakemere Village in Chesire.

It was very ambitious logistically, every piece of music and sound had to be carefully positioned in the forest to make the experience as immersive as possible for each audience member. No small feat as we’ve had to deal with high winds, vast open spaces, and the occasional falling branch.

But overall, we’re really proud of how the show has turned out and initial audience reactions and reviews have been very positive.
