Music & Sound Design

The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir who got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, first performed at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre with Hope Street Limited.

At once hilarious and tragic, this tall tale pokes fun at the absurdity of current migration laws whilst highlighting the very real and worsening plight of refugees and asylum seekers across the world. Adapted for the stage from the original international best-selling book by Romain Puértolas, using different theatrical styles such as physical theatre, puppetry and songs, this extraordinary journey includes real testimonies from United for Change members.

Produced by Hope Street Ltd. in association with Liverpool Everyman
Based on the book by Romain Puertolas
